Meet the Photographer

Hi, I'm Shauna

For as long as I can remember, I've wanted a time-machine. I think that's why I've always loved photographs. There's something magical about being able to curl your fingers around a slice of frozen time that you might not have been alive to see firsthand.
While I may never get my time-machine, being a photographer allows me to create visual records of things that will never happen again in exactly the same way. Babies grow up, bridal bouquets wilt, buildings are torn down, stages go dark, and fashion changes from one season to the next. Cameras are one of the few things that allow us to capture and share with the world those special seconds in time long after the moment is gone.
I started my journey into photography with a Minolta SRT-101 and still remember the magic of the darkroom. You can find me working with anything from a 100-year old bellows camera to my collection of high-tech Canon cameras and L-series lenses. At the end of the day, though, it's not the gear that matters to me - it's the memories.
